Actress Kangana Ranaut recently revealed that the post-production stage of her upcoming film Emergency has begun. She also shared that Telugu director Vijayendra Prasad was the first person to watch the completed edit of the movie. Kangana mentioned that the accomplished filmmaker was moved to tears multiple times while watching the edit and expressed his immense pride in Kangana’s work, saying, “I am so proud of you my child.”
Vijayendra Prasad is a renowned screenwriter who has worked on films like Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Emergency is based on the 1977 Indian Emergency and also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik, and Milind Soman in pivotal roles. This is Kangana’s second directorial venture after her 2019 period drama film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Though her debut production was marred by controversies as previous director and some actors levied charges on Kangana for stealing the credit.

Kangana Ranaut Speaks About Release Of Emergency
Talking about the release date of Emergency, Kangana Ranaut had earlier said via Twitter, “Now release date for Emergency I will announce only one month in advance with the trailer itself, jab sara saal free hai toh clash ki zarurat kyu hai bhai?? Yeh buri halat hai industry ki phir bhi itni durbuddhi, kya khate ho yaar tum sab, itne self destructive kaise ho?”
The film marks Kangana’s first solo-directorial. Emergency also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair, Satish Kaushik and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles.
